Winter’s F***ed Up by AnimatedJames (and a bunch of other people)

It’s been a really, really long time since anyone’s done anything new with ‘Winter Wrap Up’, so it’s certainly a surprise to see something like…this, come straight out of nowhere. Pleasantly suprising, I suppose. Well anyway, the video we’ll be featuring today is a very…overt, group project from some well-known VAs and vocalists in our community, singing a song about how much winter blows. Though, try as they might, no one will ever get me to not like winter, being the man of…considerable size as I am.

Though there is one thing about it I don’t regard too fondly, and that is of course, the music. If you’ve ever been in a department store, you know what I mean, and that is that it feels like the winter season has been shoved down our throats since the end of October. Seriously, do not come to my house this Christmas and try to sing anything, because I’m pretty sure I could legally shoot you.

Whoa…that got a little dark. Sorry about that.

Anyway, the song is given additional life by one of our community’s more unique animators, and personally I rather enjoy the more “skecthbooky style” that’s starting to become more prominent lately. As a child of Atari, I can attest that visual pleasantry is not always equivalent to substance. Though, in this case, this video does have both, and I am pleased to share it with you today, and I invite you all to stay warm throughout this freezin’ season. POETRY, MUTHAF****A!!

We Dreamt Our Dream by OhPonyBoy

We have an interesting video today, one that requires interpretation. This is an original animation of an original song by OhPonyBoy, who most of you probably know from his popular video, Princess Luna’s Whine.

Once again, the animation does not fail to impress and it gives the video an unnatural flair of being mysterious and the ponies being adorable. I’m not quite sure how to critique on the song itself, but the harmonizing was perfect. Here goes my attempt at trying to briefly analyse it..

It’s a song about moving on from the past and that it’s time to stop procrastinating and setting out to achieve your dreams, no matter how treacherous or torturous the road may be. (From the lyrics “It’s a long lonely mile, I have to cross tonight, I better go, before daylight”) It’s also about not giving up and never allowing obstructions to stand in your way.

Well, that’s roughly what my interpretation of the song was. You probably have a different idea of what the song truly means to you, so check out this original animation and song below!

Luna’s Banishment (Deep Edition) by Argodaemon

I cannot even begin to fathom the depth of this video. Inspired by the inexplicable phenomenon (Princess Celestia Being Deep) that started it all, Argodaemon has managed to not only create an SFM version of the original, but has done a complete overhaul of the original video, featuring a wacky edition of the story of Nightmare Moon.

It’s always refreshing to see such light-hearted videos being made, and as usual, this video is replete with all the goodness that one would expect from Argodaemon’s SFMs. Check it out below, you won’t regret it!

A Day In Ponyville by AgrolChannel

Sidetracking from the usual PMVs posted here, we have an animation for all of you today. To start things off, this is personally one of my favorite animations that I’ve seen this fandom come up so far especially since it’s done in an almost flawless manner. It’s creative and unique, which is one of the primary reasons why I enjoyed this animation so much.

It has some comical moments as well, to satisfy your craving for humour and overall, it’s a really spectacular animation and it is very different from the usual animations that we see. Check it out below, it’s definitely worth watching!

‪How Ponies made the Season 4‬ by AgrolChannel

Fellow Mondaynians,

Imagine, that My little pony was a show. Give me a moment to rephrase that…

What if, The characters from Mlp Friendship Is Magic Were played by actors.  Wait…

Ponder on if you will, The possibility that our beloved show was not real.

This is a lot harder to write about than I though.

To partake in some more bloopers, ones fairly nicely animated even, Give this mondays Video a few, even though I am assured many of you already have.

I approve This.

[Added Info]:  It is believed that the clear liquid is in fact alcohol.

Ponyville Falls Episode 1 by Daga Yemar

Hello everyone, Dae314 here to brighten up your Saturday evening once again using the awesome power of LED ligh– I mean recut pony videos! Tonight is a bit of a departure from the normal musical numbers. I’m not going to lie; I have neither seen nor heard of the show that is used for the audio track in this video before today. I don’t think I will be watching the show either. I’d be better off just listening to the audio of it and substituting fitting pony visuals like Daga Yemar has done for us. It makes the dialog that much more entertaining to listen to and wonder just what must have been going on in the actual show to generate those comments and sounds. Anyway, not much more I can say that you can’t see! Just be prepared, this is a recut of the entire first episode so it’s almost 30 minutes long (includes commercials)!

Leaving the Stable: Fallout Equestria by Argodaemon

Though I’ve never read it, I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of the “Fallout: Equestria” series. The mythology of one world combined with another, fused together to create something unique and independent of both. And since its initial creation, the idea has positively exploded into literally hundreds of spinoffs: fanfiction sequels (both official and unofficial), art, models, music, games. It has essentially become of fandom of itself. And today, we’ve got an absolutely gorgeous Source Filmmaker animation put together by one of our fandom’s most accomplished SFM artists. There’s really not much initiation you need to get into the story, as this particular short film is based on the events of the first chapter (albeit the second half). Watching the video myself has certainly piqued my interest re: the FoE universe. So in addition to the video, I’ll also drop a few resources here for the interested readers.

You can find the story in its entirety at its FIMFiction page. And if you’re like me, and are about to go on a long trip to a place with no Wi-Fi, a nice long story is not a bad thing to take with you.
Check out the radio play on which this animation is based, and visit the channel of the group responsible.
And you can also check out the official resource page where you can find a collection of every piece of official and fan-related work of FoE art.
