Hello everypony, bringing you with another PMV. This one is made by VictiniStar101. It focuses on all the mane six, representing and showcasing their friendship as they fight evil. The editing here is neatly done and fits the song which is a beautiful, heroic-type song. A few experimentation that the creator tried with the color filters/effects makes it stand out more.
Equestria is certainly a ‘wonderful world’ until you consider the amount of explosions, mythological carnivores, and traveling salesmen it contains. Yikes.
Luckily, we’re here on earth, with the internet, so that we can view this lovely video by an editor who was long thought to be eaten by a traveling salesman from Equestria. TheLightLeavesThee returns in an epic and super-dramatic PMV that really puts a new perspective on our fantastic fiction of frivolous horses.
One of my favorite parts of this video is indeed how TLLT puts a spin on the classic land of ponies. But another is how he used the epic finale scenes from the show and how he balanced those with effects and showed constraint. It’s easy for everyone to shove in their favorite scenes from FiM along with their favorite song. However, this video starts with smaller scenes and crescendos into the big ones, which really helps build an epic sense of progression. This is an important thing to learn if you plan on doing pony music videos of your own one day, and this particular piece is something worth looking at carefully.
Turn your sunshiny Equestria into a world of action and creepy piano notes below!
We need an entire season of only Best Pony Fluttershy. I’d settle for just a movie though. Or a side series.
As for today we’ll have to be content with a lovely PMV by a relatively new editor: HARUS STUDIO. Apparently this is only their third pony music video and it’s powerful, professional, and pretty promising.
The amazing thing about this video is its sense of atmosphere. The movement and effects are absolutely stunning when combined with the music, and there’s such a great use of background and foreground. It also has a style very suitable for build-ups in the beginning and when the break down hits we find an incredibly appropriate change to straight videos of the best pony in the world. All of these things really get you into the video when combined with toned lighting and smooth colors.
Enjoy a well edited, well thought out, and well presented PMV below!
P.S. If you’re wondering why Fluttershy is so sad, she saw that this editor only has a couple of subs. :( Go subscribe!
Holy editing workflows Batman! Alanj2007 is back with another video less than a week after his previous Scribble piece. Apparently, love is in the air this February as this new one centers around the ship you see above^^.
Something that our editor seems to be fond of in his own style is the particle generated stars that provide a nice flare, and of course, typography. The particles fit really nicely with the song and the atmosphere of the video in general. The typography movement can be a bit too jumpy or too smooth at times, but overall it’s a nice thing to watch.
Set sail in your favorite canon-equipped ship and expect a mix of ponies, words, humans with oddly shaped bodies, and more below!
One of the best parts of this fandom is crossovers. It leaves literally infinite possibilities for ponies!
If you’re into a show that stars four colorful characters abbreviated in the form of R.W.B.Y., then you’ll love what we have tonight. While the title of the video is slightly blunt, it’s the title of a song from the show that’s being crossed with MLP, and no ponies were harmed in the making (we think).
The visuals rely heavily on some literal interpretation, so it’s great that the singer here has a clear voice for ease of understanding. It’s also easy to see that the song style matches extremely well with our pony friends; each is both aesthetically cute and clean while thematically presenting some darker aspects. In this respect, the editor gets bonus points for a nice matchup. The effects were short and simple when used, and one of the only problems I had with this was that it might be too literal at times and that the HUB logos are always sticking out at the corners of the screen.
So whether you’re for primarily pure ponies or a criss cross of crossovers, you should check out the nice PMV by J woody below!
Sword Art Online and Ponies. Yes! Today, I bring you a PMV based of the anime series “Sword Art Online”. The video parodies the opening of the series and it fits really well. The transitions and custom animations are impressive. It represents SAO’s concept very well with the ‘next-gen, futuristic, virtual gaming’ style.
Hello everyone! Today, I bring you a Hero vs Villain-type of PMV. Very simplistic, with some typography but the ambient fits well with the heroic song. The villains may cause havoc anywhere in Equestria, and when that happens, war happens. War between the heroes and the villains. But no matter what, the 6 heroes will always win.
Hello everypony! Today, I bring you a really neat PMV by ESB. Pretty dramatic and sad if you ask me. Everything rolls slowly and calmly with the song, added with some color filters and few typographies. I found myself singing to the song since I’ve listened to it before, though a diferent version (remix) and got some feels watching this. Overall, the video looks nice and beautiful. Go check it out!
Hey guys, it’s rapidbeta here. Sorry for not posting for such a long time. Today I bring you a fantastic PMV by none other than pixel300nerd. Not only does this one have great visuals but the song is just fantastic. Now this is not pixel300nerds normal style but it’s certainly a great PMV . The thing I personally LOVE about it is how smoothly it all works together, I like it when PMV artist step out of their comfort zone and try something new and exciting.
