Hey guys, today we have a brand new PMV from Racecarghost.
Sticking to his style, Racecar has made another PMV to an anime song. And once again the editing matches perfectly. The shows clips played in windows zooming out, with visual based backgrounds are highly reminiscent of an anime intro. Throwing in subtle motion graphic sections also helped maintain interest in some scenes, and gave more variety. The choppy editing style used when the guitar is more prominent fits the song really well. And the complex scenes of show clips inside a globe really bring the whole thing together.
To be honest I’m not a fan of anime, but I still really appreciate the effort put in to this PMV. The editing is truly top notch.
Black Spy Twi lookin’ Fly. She could literally, if she had wings in this image. Too bad.
I for one am surprised that we didn’t get to featuring this PMV earlier, being that Racecarghost is one of those regularly awesome people with his animations and videos. In this one, we have a deep relation to another anime that our editor seems to have caught on to and some moving ponies that seem to have greatly improved!
While it’s easy to animate, it’s not easy to animate well. In this visual adventure, we do get to see some fancy flying FX with BG to particle transitions and spotlights and such. But more importantly than that, we get animations that are bouncy, not over-dramaticized, and relatively simple, albeit well done. There does seem to be some choppiness in parts of the leg movement and speech frames, and a bit of awkward rotation on the legs at the end part. However, I still argue that this short piece is a definite sign of improvement for our editor.
Check out a world of colors (and lack thereof) below!
Sword Art Online and Ponies. Yes! Today, I bring you a PMV based of the anime series “Sword Art Online”. The video parodies the opening of the series and it fits really well. The transitions and custom animations are impressive. It represents SAO’s concept very well with the ‘next-gen, futuristic, virtual gaming’ style.
2014 has ended and now we move to a new year of 2015. 2014 was a great year of pony content and to celebrate here’s a PMV created by 4SuitTheUnicorn. Filled with a compilation of clips and content from the best brony videos of the year. Hope to see some more amazing content from the brony community this year!
There has been a true plethora of fan-made alternative openings for MLP over the years… so many, in fact, that one would think the fandom might be hinting at something, But what that something is, I have no idea. I mean, the show’s opening is already about as awesome as an opening could ever be, so why would we want to even think about something different? Oh yeah, because anime. Anime-style openings make everything better, and today’s PMV is exhibit A. It’s truly full of all the best anime opening stereotypes, and of course, they all work obscenely well. This is a crossover of the most enjoyable caliber. It effectively conveys that anime feel, but without resorting to anthropomorphizing them, as other anime openings have done.
First up today is a ponification of the opening to the anime Texhnolyze. Don’t ask me how to pronounce that. This one has a really cool gritty look with the use of static and some film effects, and also does a great job overlaying scenes on top of one another for some interesting combinations.
Second up is a nice transition video from the previous seasons to the new one, showing many of the most heartwarming scenes from earlier episodes before teasing us with some previews from season 4. Only a few short days before we get to see the new episodes for ourselves!
Ahh…. strings. How I love string music. I don’t care what it is – anything is improved by string music. Of course, it helps when said item itself is already pretty great, as is the case here. In this video, the artist did something unique by actually combining MLP footage with some clips from the anime Haibane Renmei. The music is from that show, I believe, and I really like how the footage from both shows works together and really matches smoothly with the beautiful music. The bit at the very end with the combined “wing get” scenes is especially cool.

So, more Japanese music videos get ponified again, as Raceghost1 brings us the lovely “Death Should Not Have Taken Thee.” The first thing I’d like to say is…WOW. What an improvement this guy has made since the last time he made one of these videos.
For those that don’t remember, Racecarghost1 attempted to do something similar to this with his Game Of Life video. The only problem with that video, is that some of the vectors were in poor quality, and overall the video itself needed some extra polish, as it felt a little rough around the edges. Along with the audio quality, which was also not that great.
This time around, however, Racecarghost gave this video the extra polish it needed, and made an overall well done, entertaining, and very tightly edited video. I don’t really have any qualms with it besides the length, but alas, it was necessary to mimic the original music video, which this adaptation does a superb job at doing.
All I can say is, this is a fantastic improvement Racecarghost, you’ve come far, I and others can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
Keep up the good work. And as for the rest of you, go watch this fantastic video.
Happy Friday evening everybody! Today, I have another GREAT animation from Fantasy Blade, of whom I had the pleasure to meet at BronyCon. :3 ANYWHO, this is following his path of destruction by animating MLP in anime style stuff. Now myself, I am not an anime fan, BUT GEEZ, this looks fantastic, if there was a show that looked like this, I’d pay money to watch it! So go watch this now, and I’m almost sure you’ll feel the same way!
Today we bring you a PMV that has that extra zing using an anime soundtrack. When I say Madoka Magika, what is the first thing that pops up in your heads? Magic, girls, and evil enchantresses (Ok, scratch that one) probably crossed your minds. So, given the basic premise you’re going to see……. some magic!
That’s right, what TerriccotaPie has done is mash footage from the anime along with… of course Ponies! Using the symbols with the show and with Evening Shimmer™ (Sunset sucks, Evening sounds cooler, how ironic and I don’t care) and Twilight Sparkle’s conflict in fits so well and like Lock and keys. Not to mention very slick scene choices with crossing in with magic which matches Madoka along with an awesome rock instrumental track which brings makes this video extra spellbinding (-10 for puns)
Now to sum up other points and then some before with that list™ you can’t avoid right here below:
1.Slick and smooth, simple and streamlined
2. Pretty matching scenes
3. Minimalist effects and transitions that are complementary
4. Can easily be a spin-off intro (who dosen’t want 26 episodes of Twilight eliminating evil witches?)
Check out the Magic and leave your interesting and creative responses on the Magic, BELOW:
P.S. Now that’s another anime for me to watch! (eventually…… there’s so many to catch up on! Time is your mortal enemy)
