Hello guys and gals. You ready to go on a feels trip? If you haven’t watched this, you better be ready for some feels. This new video by Argodaemon is really amazing. According to him, the idea and work of this started around 2 years ago. It’s impressive. The ambient in which is portrayed is very cinematic and combining with the small concept story about Twilight’s immortality and wanting to have her friends back really captures the emotions here. No joke, tears were shed when I watched this. I swear there’s some ninjas cutting onions in my room. Twilight’s immortality is something that the fans has been debating now that she’s an alicorn, but has been confirmed by official staff that Twilight will not outlive her friends. Though this concept is still really interesting to get into and make story with it, and sad indeed. Go watch it down below.
Hello everyone! We’re about a month or two away from Halloween. So how about a spooky video? A Source Filmmaker PMV! Oooo ^_^ This one is well made. The animations and visuals are great. The cinematography and character’s expressions matches the creepy ambient of the song (and the video itself). As you can tell from the title, this is based on the horror game series: “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. Even if you’re not a fan of the game series, you should really check this video out. Especially if you like spooky vids. The song is catchy too, it made me dance along with the video, even while the creepy pony animatronics moved around and sing. I gotta say, I love the animatronic models on this one. Anyways, go watch the video yourself down below!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday night. We got something different from the norm to post tonight. While we don’t normally post SFM videos, this one is really neat. Consisting of 36 (I think) SFM animators, it follows Twilight Sparkle as she side scrolls through a series of door, and all the ridiculous and insane situations that happen between each one. While I haven’t seen the original it’s based on, the concept is simple enough that it’s not necessary to enjoy this remake.
It’s really quite cool to see so many different interpretations of a pony going through a series of doors. The animation through the various segments is really quite adorable and exciting. It’s a cool video and with so many editors I can only imagine how it was coordinated so well.
I cannot even begin to fathom the depth of this video. Inspired by the inexplicable phenomenon (Princess Celestia Being Deep) that started it all, Argodaemon has managed to not only create an SFM version of the original, but has done a complete overhaul of the original video, featuring a wacky edition of the story of Nightmare Moon.
It’s always refreshing to see such light-hearted videos being made, and as usual, this video is replete with all the goodness that one would expect from Argodaemon’s SFMs. Check it out below, you won’t regret it!
Nightmare Night is finally here! Also, I had to include Flutterbat in this post, since she is far too adorable to be left out of the occasion. More importantly, we have a trio of Halloween-themed PMVs lined up today in the spirit of Nightmare Night and a bonus SFM thrown in as well.
Though I’ve never read it, I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of the “Fallout: Equestria” series. The mythology of one world combined with another, fused together to create something unique and independent of both. And since its initial creation, the idea has positively exploded into literally hundreds of spinoffs: fanfiction sequels (both official and unofficial), art, models, music, games. It has essentially become of fandom of itself. And today, we’ve got an absolutely gorgeous Source Filmmaker animation put together by one of our fandom’s most accomplished SFM artists. There’s really not much initiation you need to get into the story, as this particular short film is based on the events of the first chapter (albeit the second half). Watching the video myself has certainly piqued my interest re: the FoE universe. So in addition to the video, I’ll also drop a few resources here for the interested readers.
You can find the story in its entirety at its FIMFiction page. And if you’re like me, and are about to go on a long trip to a place with no Wi-Fi, a nice long story is not a bad thing to take with you.
Check out the radio play on which this animation is based, and visit the channel of the group responsible.
And you can also check out the official resource page where you can find a collection of every piece of official and fan-related work of FoE art.
Right off the bat, I have to go ahead and admit, somewhat shamefully, that I have never watched any of the Fallout Equestria material. After seeing this PMV, however, I can definitely say that I want to! This video is definitely epic, a word that is typically used too loosely, but here fits. The music is perfect for the stunning visuals of the SFM scenes. The editing together of the various source of Fallout Equestria footage is well done, but I did find it somewhat jarring to switch from SFM footage to a standard MLP style and back. I can jive with SFM when it’s on its own, but I’m not sure I care for it being married to the normal flash animation.
Small gripes aside, this is a cool and dramatic video with some great music and visuals, so check it out below!
Ponies and explosions and grunge and future stuff is all I really know about Fallout Equestria. That, and explosions.
But even having never read the book or whatever, I can tell that this short SFM is totally AWESOME. How is it that people don’t see that ponies and explosions make such a great combination! The scene was also apparently made custom, and lemme tell ya, the video does an amazing job at atmosphere. What with the music timed perfectly, and the transition and the slow camera zooms, it makes me think that this might be a children’s show, but it sure ain’t a children’s fandom. Ponies are real men business, am I right?
Of course I am. Get some explosions below.
I hope all of you have been enjoying your Valentine’s Day weekend so far! Here’s a cute SFM animation by Argodaemon in the spirit of Heart and Hooves Day.
Speaking of which, TwiDash is actually one of my favorite pairings, if I had to ship two characters together. While Twilight and Rainbow Dash may seem to be exact opposites in terms of personality and preferences, we all know that opposites attract right?
In actual fact, Twilight and Dash do have a lot in common. Rainbow Dash enjoys reading and so does Twilight and they are huge Daring Do fans. They also share some similar personality traits, both of them are hardworking, determined and they get carried away by what they are doing at times.
Well, getting back to the video. Even if you’re not a fan of shipping, I would recommend that you check the video out because they look absolutely adorable together and the video is heartwarming and sweet in so many ways. I would also like to point out that the lightning is fantastic and really sets the atmosphere for the animation.
Go check out the video below and enjoy the rest of your weekend with your loved ones.
I have to admit that SFM ponies have really grown on me. When I first saw them being used, I was, frankly, a bit creeped out by them, but as people have learned to master their movements and expressions, making them more fluid and less, uh… comatose… I have really learned to love the little buggers. Especially when they show up in videos like this one, with gorgeous scenery and lighting set against one of those addictive yet unintelligible songs full of random, partial voice clips. Something about the combination is just downright peaceful and jolly, and always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. So if you’re game for feeling warm and fuzzy, too, check out the video below. You’ll not be disappointed!
